- Sign Up—all courts must be signed up prior to any play. Players occupying courts without prior sign-up may be bumped by players signing up, provided there are no extra courts available.
- Time Duration—Courts may be signed up for a period of 1 1/2 hours for three or less individuals for the purpose of practice or singles play and for 2 hours for doubles play.
- Walk-On Court—Court 1 is the walk-on court and cannot be reserved in advance. If there are people playing on court 1, a player may rest a racket against the fence adjacent to the door to reserve the order of play. Once the court is available, the player shall immediately place their name on the sign-up sheet and commence play. Players waiting for court 1 who are not present when the court first becomes available may be bumped by other players who in turn are.
- Early Reservation—Courts 2,3 and 4 may be reserved no earlier than two days in advance of the day they wish to play. Courts cannot be signed up earlier than 7am. As an example, if a player wants to reserve a court for Saturday play, they may do so no earlier than 7am on Thursday. An individual may only reserve one court per day. If courts are available, individuals may play at will provided they sign up prior to taking the court.
- Guests—Members in good standing may invite one or more guests to play tennis or practice with them on any courts that they may occupy. A guest is defined as any individual who lives outside a 2-mile radius of PORA (this is very loosely bounded in the west by Post Oak Tritt and Sandy Plains <McDonalds>, in the north by Johnson Ferry and Shallowford <Publix>, in the east by Tritt Elementary and to the south by Roswell Road and Old Canton <Quick Trip>).
- Under no circumstance can a resident of Post Oak Springs or Post Oak Square be a guest.
- Alcohol— the customary alcoholic beverages served at tennis matches is not condoned by PORA. It is the responsibility of each team captain to monitor consumption and to accept the risks associated with serving alcohol and allow individuals to drink and potentially drive.
