Established over 35 years ago, PORA continues to be recognized as one of East Cobb’s finest recreation associations. Today we are home of the Post Oak Blue Dolphins Swim Team, Jensen Tennis and some of the best member socials you will ever attend. Whether you prefer lounging at the pool, grilling out, playing mixed doubles or exploring Piney Grove Creek, you will not find a better year round recreational experience.
Membership extends beyond the borders of Post Oak Square and Post Oak Springs. Today PORA serves up to 275 family memberships annually. The association is governed and operated by an elected Board of Directors whose sole purpose is to insure the association continues to remain one of East Cobb’s finest swim and tennis associations, a facility that its members can be proud of. Our pools, pool house and tennis courts have all been totally renovated since 2016-2017. Membership has its privileges; we are a year round recreational facility offering amenities to be enjoyed in every season. We are the first pool to open in East Cobb beginning in late April early May (hosting our first of many family socials, Polar Bear Plunge) and the last pool to close after Cobb County Fall Break.
Nestled along the banks of Piney Grove Creek, PORA offers 25 acres of wooded and well landscaped acreage to explore along with one of the biggest pools in Cobb County. The entire facility including tennis courts were totally renovated in 2016-2017. We offer a tradition of winning swimming and tennis for all ages and all skill levels. Registration begins annually beginning in January and will close before Memorial Day so don’t procrastinate or you will miss out. Our fiscal operating year begins May 1st and ends April 30th.
